Any Bluetooth earbuds or wired headphones work. SpeechSynk requires headphones to run safely. Without them, the microphone would feed back into the speaker.

No. SpeechSynk is a wellness and practice tool, not a medical device. If you have an SLP, this is a great between-session companion. If you don't, it's a starting point.

DAF plays your voice back through headphones with a short delay. Some people find it helpful during speech practice; results vary. SpeechSynk is a practice tool and does not diagnose or treat a condition.

SpeechSynk processes speech on your device and does not save recordings or upload audio or transcripts. AI coaching is optional and off until you allow practice metrics to be shared with Anthropic. You can turn it off in Profile → Privacy. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Open Profile → Account → Delete account. Confirm, then verify your Apple sign-in or password and keep the app open while cleanup completes. If interrupted, use Retry deletion. Deletion removes your account and associated cloud practice data, and clears local practice history on this device. If you cannot access this flow, email support@speechsynk.com. Scores and coaching require recognized speech. If no speech is recognized, the summary shows No speech detected and nothing is added to Progress. If speech recognition could not start, it shows Speech analysis unavailable. Check microphone and speech recognition permissions, then try again with a spoken session.

SpeechSynk needs to record what you're saying in order to play it back to you with a delay (DAF) and to generate post-session insights. Microphone audio never leaves your device. Optional AI coaching uses practice metrics, not audio or transcripts.

SpeechSynk requires iOS or iPadOS 18.6 or later and supports iPhone and iPad.
